The end of the year is near, and if you have a flexible spending account, you’re coming up on your use it or lose it date! Did you know that your FSA can be used toward some dental expenses? Here’s an example of what’s covered:

  • Non-cosmetic treatment (like X-rays, fillings, extractions, crowns, implants)
  • Dental deductibles
  • Oral surgery
  • Fluoride treatment at the dental office
  • Costs you may have paid because of your deductible, such as copays, reasonable and customary charge limit, or benefit limit

If your plan provided you a debit card, it can be used for these costs! But don’t worry if you haven’t done so – you can always request a reimbursement for an expense that you’ve already paid.

Be sure to use your FSA this year! Check with your HR team or benefits manager for guidance.
