The snow is falling and the holiday lights are shining – it’s that time of year! For a lot of us, the holiday season means that a nice, warm cup of holiday cheer is rarely far away. Who doesn’t love a great cup of hot cocoa after an epic snowball fight?

While you or your kids are enjoying this holiday season, try to keep in mind just how much sugar is in those holiday drinks (even Santa’s glass of milk!) – and remember these three easy tips to protect against tooth decay this holiday season:

  1. Swish with water after drinking (or, better yet, brush your teeth!)

  3. Drink through a straw, which brings the drink to the back of your throat, rather than sitting around your teeth
