Stockings are typically filled with candy or treats, but there are many other creative options Santa can leave behind. 🎅

This holiday season, we put together a few fun ideas that promote good oral health:

For kids—

  • Special toothbrush that has a favorite color, character or design
  • Two-minute timer for toothbrushing
  • Short books or stories about oral health & brushing teeth
  • Brushing and flossing chart/calendars with stickers or markers
  • Toothpaste or floss with a different flavor like bubblegum or cinnamon (note: make sure toothpaste contains fluoride)

For any age—

  • Travel sized toothpaste, floss or mouthwash
  • Toothbrush holder (fun color, shape or design)
  • Topper or case for toothbrush for travel
  • Electric toothbrush head replacements
  • Charger or batteries for electric toothbrush
  • Sugar-free gum

Do you still want to fulfill a sweet tooth with your stocking stuffers? No problem!

If you do choose to include candy, consider including dark or milk chocolates in place of candy canes or anything hard or sticky. Sugar content tends to be higher in hard candies and they can sometimes break teeth or fillings. Chocolate rinses off teeth easier and won’t stick around to cause cavities.

After enjoying your treats, be sure to rinse your mouth out with water and brush and floss your teeth before bed. These tips will help keep your smile white as snow. ❄️
