Since 2007, Delta Dental of Minnesota has given more than $100,000 to Children’s Dental Health Services (CDHS), a nonprofit organization providing preventative dental services to underserved, underinsured and uninsured children in Southeast Minnesota.
Since it was established in 2005, CDHS has expanded to provide care at over 50 sites in five counties. CDHS primarily uses the mobile dental care model to reach their target population, minimizing barriers to receiving care. Delta Dental of Minnesota has specifically partnered with CDHS on their school-based program, which provides more than 800 students each year with exams, X-rays, cleaning, fluoride treatments and sealants. Children in the schools receive dental services including, exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride application and sealants.
